Why small bales
Practical, portable, easy to budget.
Big round bales are great if you have a tractor and a stable for thirty horses. If you don’t, conventional small bales make life simpler. One person can stack them. They fit in a hatchback. You can buy ten at a time without committing to a season’s storage.
It’s the format we recommend for one-or-two-horse yards, smallholders running a few sheep or alpacas, and anyone who’s feeding rabbits, guinea pigs or chickens through the winter.
